Bypassing Row level security when customer should see all dataset

Hi!

We're using CUSTOMDATA() function to pass the customer security ids in Powerbi security roles (RLS ). We do this as some of our customer's users should have permission to see some of the data based on a customerid.

However some users would have access to all data.

Is there a way to bypass RLS only for those users but apply RLS for the others ?

Objective: what we want to achieve is not to apply RLS where is not needed therefore improving performance.

Regards

We ditched the custom data and using username we could just create a new security role that is empty so that would take care of our problem.

There's probably a good way to do this within the RLS settings, but as a quick/easy workaround if you enhance the permissions within the report/workspace and give these users access to the data or enhanced permissions at a workspace level - this will override any RLS settings.

Jamie.

I'm not sure I grasp the meaning of "enhanced permissions at a workspace level " since these customers dont even see the workspace. they connect through an app which has PBI embedded.
