Category Assignment with Multiple Different Category Values within Each Row
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to create a slicer in my report to filter the total demand by the different category demands that populate it. To illustrate, please find the Example file linked.
Ideally and as I'm used to I would only have one populated category populated per row, in order to assign a conditional column listing each catergory per row and create a slicer from this. However, this is not possible for all give given some rows are populated by multiple categories. I still want my slicer to filter for just one of the categories in the total demand or any other breakdown in my data.
Does anyone have any idea how to achieve this? As a note sometimes I exclude one of the categories from the Total Demand figure so ideally it could be something that allows flexibility.
Many thanks

Hi tamerj1 I remember you helped me previously, do you know if there is a fix to this as I need to know quite soon? Thanks

Hi Anonymous
Please provide some sample dummy data just with required amount of columns and present your expected outcome based on the same sample of input data.- AnonymousNot applicable
Hi tamerj1 thank you and please find a link to an example file: https://ufile.io/03vwaf4f
As you will see I have three different categories - Authorised, Rejected and Pending - of which for some rows, total demand is populated by more than one of the categories. However, I still want to be able to filter the total demand by each particular category but can't find a way to assign a category breakdown and use this to create a slicer. I would like to work with any other filters that are applied, and for it not just to be linked to the Total column as I might creat sub demands in my data.
I hope this helps and let me know if something isn't clear, appreciate the help.
