Building Interface to enter user input

Hi,

Is it possible in Power bI to build a report where i  can enter a query and get a result?

So for example, I want to validate if a employeeID is valid and active.

I have the employee spreadsheet, I need an interface where someone puts the employee ID and then clicks enter and the system returns a result with the employee data and status or simply states that employee not found. Please Help!!

Thanks!!

You can bring all the employee data into your model and perhaps take advantage of filters, and/or drill through pages to allow you to drill down to a place where you can show lots of detail about an individual employee.

Could that work?

But is that possible there which allow me to enter the emp id and check  their status?

Some filters/slicers allow you to enter text, so you could enter an ID there and it can filter accordinly.

I find the below video useful and  similar to my requirement.  But i am not using a Database. It is just an Employees Spreadsheet on my local machine. How would i implement that in my case.
