Bug? Dynamic Selection of fields in Matrix Visual using Parameter Fields not working

Hi,

I m trying to create a matrix with dynamic selection of fields (to be placed as rows) by using Field parameters.

While it seems to work for the first time.. subsequent selection of the slicer fails and matrix stops to respond (cannot drill down .. and at most one column can be used at times)

Below picture shows 2 fields selected in the slicer.. However, the same is not reflecting in the matrix.

Attempt to expand all doesn't work.

Any help in this regard would be very much appreciated.

@modi123p - I cannot replicate your issue, infact it is working as expected for me. 

Can you supply a file?

You may refer the sample file from  my github. It uses the same content and you can see that even if col 3 and col4 are selected... for some strange reason, you cannot expand to see all content

@modi123p - Well I see you're a Microsoft employee and on the "as yet unreleased" July 2025 version of Power BI. 

Whereas the rest of us can only access June, so yeah, I'd say you've found a bug, and not one I can replicate. 

I even played with the layout settings in my version, still works as planned. 

With Field Parameters STILL (3 years people) in Preview, I'm guessing they've been playing around with the way they work in tables or Matrixs. 

Fortunately you'll probably be able to raise this internally a whole lot faster than any of us can.
