Bookmark navigation to new page - landing issue

Hi All,

I am using bookmark to show a new page with detailed information. My bookmark on the originial page is at the bottom of the page and when i click on this bookmark, I land on the new page at the same exact location (at the bottom of the page). But the information on the new page is at the top of the page. 

The only solution i could come up with as of now to push the visuals on the new page to the bottom of the page where my bookmark brings me to from the original page. Although this works as of now, top half of new page is just empty white space which is just weird.

Can someone please look into this issue and let me know if you have a better elegant solution.

Why not just make the detail page not as tall and put the content at the top?

Or, I would try remaking the bookmark.  I was not able to replicate the behavior your are getting.  I made a page 2000 pixels tall and put a bookmark to page 2 on a button at the bottom.  My page 2 is also 2000 pixels tall and when I click on the bookmark it lands at the top of the page.

Hi @jdbuchanan71 ,

We need to keep the all page sizes the same since we are embedding these reports in the website. As per the developer who is embedding these reports advised to use the same size across all pages.

I am surprised you were not able to replicate this behavior. I wonder if you have used any dummy visuals on both the pages to fill the pages. Please let me know how it goes.

I did have visuals on both pages.  I even added a back button to the bottom of the second page trying to force the behavior.

Thank you very much for helping me out with this issue. Just for information, our current pages' height is 3000pixels. And my bookmark is at the 1900pixels( y-position). 

I am just puzzled why this issue is consistent in all of our reports.

Sorry, I'm afraid I am out of ideas @Anonymous .  Did you try remaking the bookmark with the same result?

Yes, I did remake the bookmarks but it didn't fix the issue. The only thing which is working- to push the visuals at the middle of the page.

You said you re-made the bookmark and it didn't work, have you tried just updating it?

Go to the top of your details page and then update the bookmark. ---just an idea, I had a wierd issue with bookmarks too where the date filters on my visuals would change everytime I used it.

Yes, tried updating the bookmark at the top of the detailed page and also re-assign the bookmark to the bookmark icon again just to be sure. Unfortunately this did not solve the issue.
