Bing Maps retirement
I received an email that Bing Maps is being retired, with the suggestion of moving to Azure Maps instead.
I don't recall ever working with Bing Maps other than in Power BI reports, so I wasn't sure why I got the email. I'm assuming that map reports created in Power BI will not be affected by the retirement of Bing Maps, but wanted to check here in case others have more info than I do.
To clarify, I'm just using the built-in mapping features of Power BI Desktop - nothing custom.

Hi thanks for using Power BI Desktop, and yes, the Bing Maps for Enterprise will be retired. Here’s the official document which announced it.

In a future release, Power BI plans to deprecate older map visuals and migrate existing reports to Azure Maps. You can convert maps and filled maps to Azure Maps visuals now.
As for the email notification you said, is it from our Microsoft official?

Ah, I spoke too soon. This report is published on the web, and that apparently doesn't work with Azure Maps. So I had to go back to Bing Maps for the time being.
Will Azure Maps eventually support publishing to the web? Or do I need to be looking for different mapping solution?

According to the official documentation limitations: Azure Maps is not available in ‘Power BI Publish to web.’

If it doesn't appear on Publish to Power BI Service, you'll need to open the settings according to the following link:

Right, that's what I'm seeing as well. It looks like Bing Maps is going away and Azure Maps doesn't support publishing to the web.
So if neither of those options will work, how does one go about creating a map report that can be published to the web?
