Hi,
I have data similar to below:
(except there is many more statuses)
| Unique ID | Current Status | Days in Status |
| A | 1 | 5 |
| B | 2 | 8 |
| C | 1 | 10 |
| D | 2 | 8 |
| E | 1 | 8 |
| F | 2 | 7 |
| G | 1 | 1 |
| H | 2 | 3 |
| I | 1 | 1 |
| J | 2 | 8 |
| K | 1 | 9 |
| L | 2 | 5 |
| M | 1 | 5 |
| N | 2 | 10 |
| O | 1 | 1 |
| P | 2 | 3 |
| Q | 1 | 4 |
| R | 2 | 6 |
| S | 1 | 9 |
| T | 2 | 1 |
| U | 1 | 2 |
In PowerBI I currently have a matrix that shows a count of "Unique ID" per status, and I also have a table where it shows the specific Unique IDs. When I click on the count of unique IDs for each status, Power BI will filter the table I have to show the list of unique IDs in that status.
What I also am trying to do is either add some additional columns to the matrix (or create a new matrix) that can perform the following functions:
- Show the 10th and 90th percentile "Days in status" for each status
- Filter to the units that are either "top 10 percentile" or "bottom 10 percentile" when clicked on the matrix
Just wondering if this is possible? I tried creating the percentile measures, but it looks like when you put a measure in the matrix, it doesn't filter based on the filters inside the measure, only based on the row/column in the matrix. Any way I can get around this?
Hi @Anonymous ,
I am not sure what desired result would you want, could you please share your sample data and desired output screenshots for further analysis? You can also upload sample pbix to OneDrive and post the link here. Do mask sensitive data before uploading.

Hi Amy,
Sample data is posted in the original post.
Desired output is a matrix that looks like this:
| Status | Top 10 # of Unique ID | 10th percentile | Top 90% # of Unique ID | 90th percentile |
| 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 10 |
| 2 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 10 |
And then a table that shows a list of all Unique IDs. When the cell for (Status 1, Top 90% # of Unique ID) is clicked, it would show in the table: Unique ID "C".
@Anonymous , refer if this can help
