Hi there,
I am trying to show the current licenses we need in a bar chart but also over lay the expiries for the displayed licenses we have as lines in the combined chart.
The mock data below shows the total licenses we have on hand and reduces each month as we have rentals disappear. I was hoping the line would show two lines also for the number per month of licenses we need (the axis on the right is a combination of all the licenses, I didn't have the slicer in place for the mockup and only had two licenses in the expiries table). The issue is the line is combining the values for the licenses and not showing them as separate lines.
Is there a way to show the same number of lines as I am showing the bars for the varying licenses.
I have a dim table for date and a dim table for the licenses that the two tables are linked to in the relationship, but that didn't help splitting out the lines.
Is there a way to achieve this. In the example above there would be a line for Houdini Core and a line for Houdini FX like there is for the bars?
Many thanks
S.
What if I keep adding licenses to the expiry table, do I need to create a measure for each individual license I want to report on which looking at the license table would be about 80 of them to start with. Also, what would the structure of the measure be? I attempted to make a measure which just showed the same data, but I am rubbish with measures. I put another post here also as to not muddy this one about trying to craft a basic measure to show the underlying data from the license table.
@Anonymous , As far as know standard visual does not support it. So the options are to check for a custom visual or use some alternate and vote for an Idea. This is a needed one, But still not there.
bummer, that would be really handy to have in place. Thanks. I will see what I can do about creating a measure.
