Documentation indicates "You can't create a column in DirectQuery mode. But if your data already contains URLs, you can turn them into hyperlinks." However, when I pull in a simple address such as www.bing.com and then I set the data category to Web URL, the report does not recognize the field as a URL. Below is documentation.

Change www.bing.com with https://www.bing.com in your database and check again. The feature works well on my side as below:

@v-yuta-msft You are right! I think there must have been something wrong with my real link too. I'm having to strip html tags from a SharePoint link, but I've got it working now. And yes with the https the bing link works as well. Thank you!
