Azure maps geometry features help needed

Hi all,

I ran into an issue which I think others did as well. I have 33,755 polygons that I want to show in azure map visual but after uploading Geojson file some of the polygons do not show at all. I tried LSOA21 BFC, LSOA21 BFE shape files to convert into geojson format via mapshaper as BFE are full features file and takes a lot of MBs. So I wonder if it is due to azure limitations to render so many polygons and some are silently dropped? is it geometry features (Vetrices, rings, interesctions)? Or am I doing something wrong? Any help would be kindly appreciated..

Thank you for the support and advice. I ended up excluding some regions to stay below the 30k polygons threshold which is working fine.

This issue is likely related to rendering limitations in the Azure Maps visual within Power BI. When working with large GeoJSON files containing thousands of polygons, some features may be silently dropped due to performance constraints.
Here are three concise recommendations:
  1. Simplify the polygons using https://mapshaper.org/ with the command simplify 10% keep-shapes to reduce the number of vertices while preserving the overall shape.
  2. Split the GeoJSON file into smaller segments (e.g. by region or category), as files exceeding approximately 5MB may not render fully in the visual.
  3. Validate geometries to ensure there are no topological errors such as self-intersections or improperly closed rings. The clean command in Mapshaper can assist with this.

after some experimenting I feel that perhaps there is a limit on number of polygons that are displayed which is 30k, anything above and we start seeing gaps. Can someone confirm if this is the case (limits on number of polygons)? I added region by region, as soon as i hit 30,400 gaps started appearing. I used simplify 20% via mapshaper (keep-shapes).
