BuHi,
I'm testing the Azure Maps Visual with French geo data. I have created a hierarchy with country = France, departments and postal codes. I assigened the respective datatypes country, state/province and postal code to these columns.
For the hierarchy level showing French departments there seems to be a wrong localization for the territory of Loire (see screenshot). This department is not located in the west of France...
This issue only happens on the department level, when drilling into the postal code level, the localization is correct.
Is this a bug by the visual itself, or can I fix this myself? I checked my data, and there is data for these states available.
Thanks!
Hi, @Fromit87
Have you tried fields with latitude and longitude information to confirm geographic location?

Hi @v-easonf-msft,
Thank you for your reply!
I am not sure how I can get lat / long in this use case, as the departments are areas, not specific cities.
I fixed the issue now by having another location layer added to my data: Country -> Region -> Department -> ZIP code. That seems to work correctly.
