Sometime within the past few weeks, I started seeing this error whenever I would select a page with an Azure Map visual on it. To troubleshoot, today I installed the latest version of Power BI desktop and created a new file. I added an Azure Map visual to page one, created a new page, then navigated back to the original page. The error came up even without any data. I'm hoping someone has a suggestion to prevent this error from popping up. I can dismiss the error each time and keep working, but it is very annoying and slowing me down.

Hi ALL,
Firstly, rajendraongole1 thank you for your solution!
And @MMMiranda ,
Thank you for reaching out and providing the details. It seems like the issue you're encountering with Azure Maps in Power BI is related to a known problem that is currently being addressed. A fix for this is expected to be included in a new version of Power BI, which is scheduled for release around October 14th.
In the meantime, while waiting for the update, We recommend keeping your Power BI desktop version up to date and monitoring the release notes to see when the fix is available. We appreciate your patience, and if you need further assistance or have additional questions, feel free to ask!
We are also all of a sudden experiencing this issue. Map seems to work fine after clicking off the error message box, however doing this several dozen times a day is a a pain so hopefully this is resolved soon.

Thank you, will do!
Hi @MMMiranda -- You mentioned updating Power BI Desktop, but it's important to ensure that both Power BI and the Azure Maps visual are up-to-date. Check if there are updates specifically for the Azure Map visual and reinstall the latest version if needed.
- Remove the Azure Maps visual, and try adding it again from the Power BI marketplace to ensure you have the latest version.
- Sometimes, the issue can be related to the rendering of complex visuals due to hardware acceleration settings.
- Go to **File > Options and Settings > Options**, and under **Global > Display**, disable **Hardware acceleration**.
- If the issue persists even when no data is attached to the visual (as you mentioned), try using a different dataset, or minimal sample data to ensure it’s not related to any specific data processing or model.
- The Azure Map visual connects to online map data. Ensure your internet connection is stable, and check for any firewall restrictions or VPN configurations that may be blocking Power BI's ability to load Azure Map resources.
- If this problem persists, you can log diagnostic information to understand the source of the issue better.
- Go to **File > Options and Settings > Options**, and under **Global > Diagnostics**, enable **Tracing**. After encountering the error, review the logs or provide them to the Microsoft support team for further troubleshooting.
