Azure Map to use Korea

hello,  I'm using a Map object in Power BI using latitude and longitude. Recently, I received a message that this visual object type will soon be deprecated and that I should upgrade to Azure Map. ...

    Hi ericjo ,

Here are few clarifications for your questions:

    1. When will Azure Maps be available in Korea?

There is no fixed date publicly available. The Microsoft docs say they’re “planning to close these gaps over the coming years”.
When is Azure Maps likely to be accessible from South Korea? - Microsoft Q&A

Therefore, if you need a solution right now, you should plan for an alternative rather than waiting.

    2. One of the Map objects you mentioned is paid, and the other appears no longer in service.

Yes - you are correct - many custom visuals or 3rd-party map tools might have licensing or support issues.

The built-in Azure Maps visual is still supported (in supported regions), but since Korea is not yet supported, you will either use a custom map visual that supports lat/long globally, or adopt Bing Maps (enterprise) until Azure Maps support arrives.

    Thank you.
