Axis Labels when using Trend Line

It seems that Trend Lines are not avialable in charts unless the axis are numeric. In the example below, my X axis are months but I had to use a number representing the month to get the trend line (i.e. January = 1, February = 2, etc). This seems to be a known issue from the searches I've done but I'm wondering if anyone has found a way around it? I considered just putting the month names as text below the chart but that won't work since the user can dynamically change the months they want to view.

The axis needs to be set to Continuous to get the trend line, but it doesn't have to be numeric. You can achieve a trend with month on the axis using a date hierarchy containing continuous dates. Expand the visual down to Month Year from the default Year.

Hi!

Thought it would pose no problem to replicate this, but apparently I'm not able to to so. Hierarchy just won't let me achieve the month-year format as shown in your picture. Any chance you could go into detail how you achieved this result?
