Average Value Help

I am trying to come up with a formula that will calculate the average per state categories, similar to the image belowScreenshot 2023-09-05 113320.pngThose values for average are correct, but what I am trying to do is have those same values show up only once in a different table for every distinct state pictured below with the incorrect average value:
Screenshot 2023-09-05 113509.pngI hope what I'm asking makes sense. Basically I just need a formula to get the same values in the first pictured table, but for the second pictured table. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi @dg9802 ,

According to your description, here are my steps you can follow as a solution.

(1) This is my test data.

vtangjiemsft_0-1693969367754.pngvtangjiemsft_1-1693969379330.png

(2) We can create a calculated column.

average sales = CALCULATE(MAX('Customer List'[avg sales]),FILTER('Customer List','Customer List'[State]=EARLIER('Avg income by state'[State])))

(3) Then the result is as follows.

If the above one can't help you get the desired result, please provide some sample data in your tables (exclude sensitive data) with Text format and your expected result with backend logic and special examples. It is better if you can share a simplified pbix file. Thank you.

Best Regards,

Neeko Tang
