PowerBI should automatically unselect slicer values that are no longer valid.
They are currently "sticky" and cause confusion for end-users.
PowerBI should automatically deselect values in one slicer when another slicer invalidates the selections.
Period. Very far along in the PowerBI life-cycle for this behavior not to exist already.

Not doing that was a conscious design choice by the Product Group. It is also the main reason why RLS is incompatible with default slicer values.

try using the custom visual : pre-selected slicer .
in this slicer, you can manage to change the selected values of this slicer using DAX code.
NB : download the custom visual template to take a look of how it works.
