Automatic adding a new page and doing some filtering

Hello

I have a csv with lots of data.

Is it possible to design a power bi so that at every year a new page and within a visual is created?

Another way would be to insert there a template and with every new year a new page with the layout of the template is created.

Once published could that be also done automatically in Power BI Service.

Regards

Heinrich

Hello, amitchandak, thanks for your concern about this issue.

Your answer is excellent!
And I would like to share some additional solutions below.
Hi,@Heinrich.I am glad to help you.

According to your description, you want to implement power bi to automatically create new report pages based on year turnover and apply filters.
Here are some of my suggestions for your needs.
I didn't find the easiest way how Power BI can automatically create new report pages, but I think your second idea is doable: by creating a template
You can create a template page in Power BI that contains all the required visuals and layouts. Manually copy that page each year and update the data filters. This is the easiest and most straightforward method, but it requires manual work.
Regarding automated operations, Power Automate as well as the Power BI REST API can help you with a range of operations in power bi, but I doubt they can be detailed enough to create report pages. Because the design of the report often requires complex logical judgment and involves the degree of aesthetics, whether it is easy for the audience to read and other issues, these needs are currently more difficult to achieve through the code.
But they can help you automate a series of other operations related to reporting , such as

1. Get all your Power BI Service workspace, data sets, data flow, reports and dashboards and other information
2. Adding or deleting data by rows to a specified table in a specified Power BI dataset, or even creating a new dataset.
3. Modify the settings of any workspace, dataset, data flow, report and dashboard in your Power BI Service.
4. Perform one or more tasks within Power BI Service, such as refreshing datasets and so on.

You can try to use them to perform some operations on dataset management to make your report management more convenient.

I hope my suggestions give you good ideas, if you have any more questions, please clarify in a follow-up reply.

Best Regards,

Carson Jian,

Hello @amitchandak

Thank you very much.
It could be a nice feature especially when the data is so big that you need to refine the filters

@Heinrich , I doubt that. Sempy  is an powerful library, but I doubt that can add a page
