Hi,
Hello everyone I am new to Power BI please help me with this. the problem is that I have developed a Power BI report for one of our clients so in one of the fact tables in transformations I can see a weird filter step got automatically it cannot be a manual filter it is like because it is abnormal. I am trying to investigate why it happened I couldn't find it .......while investigating through from back-end data we included a column into that table is it that reason? can anyone help
with has context menu Compose Paragraph?
Thanks for your reply. Thejeswar
Yes, we removed it from the transformations but I want to know the root cause of the filter so why it got applied automatically so how can I stop this in future.
Thanks
Per my understanding, this will not happen automatically.
Few things that can happen automatically are Promotion of Headers and Changing of Data type.
But the filter actions like Removing rows or Keeping rows don't happen automatically. It should have been applied accidentaly from your end only if not on purpose
Regards,
Thanks, for your reply
I don't think it is from my end if you observe the transformation steps with hundreds of steps it can't be applied from our end is there any reason the step may get applied?
Hi @srinivasbadam17 ,
The Snippet that you have shared looks like it is applying a Row level filter on the dataset. You can remove this filter steps from the Query Steps section in Power Query editor
