Automated Method for Sharing Data from One Power BI Report/Model for Use in Another

Hello All,

I'm looking for some ideas please.

We have a number of complex Power BI data models that calculate results we'd like to share in another Power BI data model. Is there any automated method anyone can think of to take data from one model and ingest it into another? We don't want to rebuild one model into another due to the complexity and resulting performance issues we will face, but I cannot think of a good option. For example, it'd be nice to be able to create a dataflow using a Power BI dataset as a source file, but this appears impossible. I believe the capability to connect more than one model is coming, but it is not released yet?

Thanks for any legitimate ideas!

Shelley

Hi @Shelley ,

Check the list of features that are planned to release from April 2020 through September 2020.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform-release-plan/2020wave1/business-intelligence/planned...

Currently i can't find any work around except dataflow.

Best Regards,

Jay
