Can anyone help me? I am trying to have a filter alto select depending on who is logging into the report.
i.e. John Smith opens the sales report and the filter on the report auto defaults to John Smith, however still has the ability to change the filter to other users as required.

You could set Dynamic RLS for the dataset, so that when John Smith log in with his account and opens the sales report, he will only see the data for him.
While another person (eg. Maggie ) log in with his account and opens the sales report, she will only see the data for her.

However, in this way, If John Smith is the end user,
He can only see his own data, he can't see other's data, so that he can't change the filter to other users as required.
If John Smith is the Admin (the author of the report, who set RLS for the dataset),
He still has the ability to change the filter to other users as required.
