Auto Layout Question

Does Auto Layout create a better layout of the data model (that I created -relationship defined by author) or it creates a layout of the data model (by automatically assigning relationship by PBI itself-relationship detected by pbix)?

I don't want to click there and completely break my report without knowing if it alters the data model by itself?

Auto layout just formats better the table placement, the layout of tables and relationship lines, it doesn't create any new relationship, it considers existing ones already.

The quick button at the right bottom corner will do the auto layout
