Auto-Import Data from sharepoint Attachments to Excel using Power Query

hi All

in sharepoint folder

i have two groups

MarineLubricant
folder1 (excel file)group1 (excel file)
folder 2 (excel file)group2 (excel file)
 group 3 (excel file)

everyday in Marine folder1 and folder2 will generate one excel file.

in folder1 each excel file has to merge dynamically every day

in folder2 each excel file has to merge dynamically ever day

like the same in Lubricant also

can you give the M-query and provide any sample file of .pbix

Regards

That’s hard to provide without knowing the structure of your Excel files — we don’t have a sample. What should be done with each group? Which sheets should be used? Which columns? Does the data always start in the first row, and is that consistent across all files?

I've blogged about connecting to connecting to multiple worksheets across multiple workbooks and folders. This uses the Folder connector which doens't have the extra steps priot to combining the files had the Sharepoint connector been used. - https://youtu.be/vFBk-_FDFh0

Hey, @yuktadiya ,

depens how confident are you in M, but if you are not, then you can click it this way.

You use Sharepoint Folder connector, navigate to your sharepoint, filter the folders you want and possible root of the filename it will always have, then if they all have same structure, you can click the icon in Content column to combine them

You based on first or any file and then you click combine and then it'S gonna combined.

You do that for all of them. And that shouuld solve it.

If the files have different strucutre, create multiple queries where you do combine only same files.
