Attributes that have code/desc - user wants to see both

I have a number of sales reports that use matrix and use the drill down feature.

For instance, a report has Items Families with drill down to Items with YTD sales etc. Likewise Territory drill down to customer.

User wants to see both code and description for items, customers etc. 

Is there a way to address this without creating a column concatenating item number with description etc?

If you are on the matrix visual you need to select the drill down option to full extent check this tutorial with a full explanation on how to achieve it.

@MFelix Perhaps my description was not very clear, I am not talking about drill down.

Here are my items:

Item Number                     Item Description

123                                    Pipes

124                                    Screws

In my matrix visual, I can add Item or Item description to rows, but not both. Adding both produces undesirable results. Wondering if there is a nicer way to do this without having to create a concatenated column.

Hi @sanimesa,

You can add both to your rows, they will not appear both until you do the drill down but after that they will show side by side, the only question is if you have more than one item description for Item number of vice-versa since they will be on stair like mode:
