Hi community,
I have two tables in Power BI. Table 1 contains different fee amounts for each entity, with multiple rows of records per entity and a 'Quarter' column indicating when the fee was incurred. Table 2 lists the included/excluded entities, and the decision to include or exclude an entity may change from quarter to quarter. For instance, entity2 is included in the JAN-MAR quarter but excluded in the APR-JUN quarter. These tables are linked and have a many-to-many relationship.
I currently have a slicer for the 'Quarter' from Table 1 and would like to add a filter for the 'Include/exclude' column so that when I choose a quarter from the slicer, only the included entities will be displayed. For example, when I select JAN-MAR 2023 from the 'Quarter' slicer, rows of Entity1 and Entity3 from Table 1 will be displayed. When I select APR-JUN 2023 from the 'Quarter' slicer, only rows of Entity1 from Table 1 will be displayed. I would like to know if this is possible in Power BI. Thanks in advance for any help provided!
Below is a sample pbix file that contains the above tables:

This is how it shows now when I select a quarter from the slicer. However, what I want to see is only Entity1 and Entity3, because Entity2 is excluded from the Jan-Mar 2023 analysis as seen from Table 2.
Please create a pbix file that contains some sample data but still reflects your data model (tables, relationships, calculated columns, and measures), upload the pbix to Onedrive or Dropbox, and share the link. Please use Excel to create the sample data instead of the manual input method share the xlsx as well.
Describe the expected results based on the sample you provide.
Hi there,
Thanks for the reply. I have edited my original post to include a sample pbix file. Please let me know if you can download and view it. Thank you!
