Applying Role-Level Security to Mask Specific Columns in Power BI
Hi!
I'm seeking guidance on implementing role-level security to mask specific columns in Power BI based on user permissions. Specifically, I need assistance with a scenario where certain users should see masked data (e.g., Display the message: ****Masked data****) for specific columns, while others are permitted to view the data unmasked.
I've already identified the columns that require masking and have compiled a list of users who should have access to view the data unmasked.
Could anyone provide a step-by-step guide or recommendations on how to accomplish this within Power BI? I would greatly appreciate any insights, best practices, or pointers to achieve role-level security for column masking.
Thank you in advance for your support and guidance.

I don't think that there is an option to messages about masking.
To apply CLS and hide specific columns you can use field parameters. Please refer to the linked tutorial.
