Hi looking for seom help.
I have two tables in Power BI that I am trying to append. When I do this the two tables come together fine and all the information is there. However, when I go to create any visuals all the dates from the secondary table seem to dissapear but looking at the table its self they are still present. Looking for any help if someone has come across this before not sure why it is showing in the table its self but not visuals. I have tried swapping what one is the primary table but this makes no difference!
Are the date column name the same in both tables? If they are in any way different, then a new column will be created after appending.
I would also check the formatting of the date columns and make sure they match, it could be if a date in either column is a text or in a different format, it causes an error and it won't show.
Thanks
Joe
Hi Joe, thank you for responding to my question! I have double checked my tables and both the column names are identical and the formats also match! not sure why its happening as looking into the issue this seems to be the usual issue to resolve it!
Are you using a date table in your visuals? Maybe the date range of the date table is outside of the date in the appended table.
I would need to see the data to be able to spot where the issue is coming from.
