Hello,
I'm creating some reports in Power BI, and in order to reuse the data sources, I created a workspace and added a Semantic Model (SUP – Dataset).
I created a user and assigned it as the workspace administrator.
When I try to import the Dataset into the report, I receive the error as shown in the following photos...
(I can't use DirectQuery)
Step 1
Step 2
Step 2 - after clicking on Value
According to the message it appears to be some access configuration.
Can anyone give me some help?
That error message (Discover permissions required) is usually only coming up for true OLAP cube sources, not for Datasets/semantic models (which are SSAS Tabular).
If you are planning to import data from the dataset you are supposed to run a DAX query.
