Alternative way to import data from google Bigquery if ODBC/Bigquery is facing 403 policy violation

Hello,

I am facing 403 VPC error while trying to access a GCP Bigquery table in PowerBI. Both Google Bigquery and ODBC connectors are not working.
What are the alternate methods I can use so that whole setup is automated(and fast enough) and data can be refreshed periodically. Few which I could figure out -

1) Create an API to expose data from Bigquery and call those APIs in powerBI

2) Export data to google sheets/CSV/Excel and import to powerBI (could not find Google storage bucket option in powerBI, is it there?)

Hi @songogeta31 ,

--I am facing 403 VPC error while trying to access a GCP Bigquery table in PowerBI.

Seems that the issue may be caused by a lack of permissions for the user attempting to establish a connection.

1. Insufficient Permissions: The error might be due to improper Identity and Access Management (IAM) permissions for the service account1. You need to ensure that the account being used has the appropriate permissions, in particular, the “bigquery.tables.list” permission needs to be assigned.

2. Authentication Credentials: The authentication credentials might not be set up correctly.  Try clear the Global Permissions and try again. Go to File > Options and Settings > Data Source Settings > Clear All Permissions.

Best Regards,
Gao
