Hi! I'm pretty new to using Power BI.
I've created a report with several measures and charts. In one of the charts, I plotted the cumulative sum of sales (y-axis) by the month of the year (x-axis). The legend of the plot is the year, so the plot shows the cumulative sum for each year. This allows me to compare the total sales of the current year with the cumulative sum of the previous years for each month.
Now, I want to create an alert to send a message if a certain value (target) is reached for each month, so I can track sales easily. Can I do this with the chart I mentioned, or should I create a new chart only with the cumulative sales of the current year and set the alert there?
My main question in this forum is how to set up the alert in Power BI. I believe I need to use Power Apps to send a message to a set of email addresses.
I hope I explained this clearly. Thanks!
