Aggregation manage issues

I have issues when i want to manage the aggregation management settings, the drop down in table and column stay gray. I have all tables in import mode. The relationships should be right, all from many to one, and single cardinality.

I also tried it with SQL server and then made aggregation table out of it, just two tables total. But then the same issue, not able to adjust the aggregation management, specifically the column and table drop down menu.

Someone who can help?

1. Do you have any direct query mode table in your model? If not then, can you please exaplain what is your expectaion from manage aggregations feature. "Manage aggregations" is used to improve the performance of a large direct query based semantic model. Please refer this document

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/transform-model/aggregations-advanced

2. Error message indicates

"There is another aggregation with the same summary and detail table/column combination.
If you set an aggregation for a table, it is automatically hidden." is it the case? If not, can you check if the error goes away after selecting the detail table from the drop down?

Thanks for your reply.

So the 'manage aggregations' menu is only available to fill in if there is a relation from a Direct Query table to a (aggregated) Import Table?. I am following a course and set up a relation between a fact table (import) towards a aggregated table (import) as an exersize.

Error message indicates

"There is another aggregation with the same summary and detail table/column combination.
If you set an aggregation for a table, it is automatically hidden.'' This is indeed the (translated) case of the error get. So now, if I go in the manage aggregations menu, the options in the drop downs for detail table and detail column stay grey and are not able to be selected.

Thanks for your reply.

So the aggregations manage menu is only able to be selected and changed when there is a relation between a Direct Query table to the (aggregated) Import table. I am following a Power BI course and set up a Import to Import table to test aggregation tables and particular the manage aggregation menu..

Error message indicates

"There is another aggregation with the same summary and detail table/column combination.
If you set an aggregation for a table, it is automatically hidden." This is indeed the (translated) case. After setting up the tables I am not able to change the detail table drop down and detail column drop down in the manage aggregations menu.
