Aggregation Table - Direct Query

Hi, I am using an agg table like this (The agg sales table is connected to "Date" & "Store")

In my situation, the fact sales table(Direct query) keeps changing on the same date.

So, is it still possible the users can see the most updated(real time) agg data from the agg sales?

Or they can only see the agg number captured from the last refresh in BI service?

Hi @Anonymous ,

I'm sorry for misunderstanding aggregation tables earlier, aggregated table is an import table.

For reports that import connection mode, if you only need to refresh the data on desktop, refer to Refresh a table in Power BI Desktop | Cittabase .

If you need to always have the latest report open on Power BI Service, you can configure scheduled refresh on the report, refer to Configure scheduled refresh - Power BI | Microsoft Learn.

Hi @Anonymous ,

You can perform a one-time, manual refresh in Power BI Desktop by selecting Refresh on the Home ribbon,the data in the file’s model is refreshed with updated data from the original data source.

Or you can also enable automatic page refresh in Desktop.

You may find the following documentation helpful:

@Anonymous

Thanks. On my model, I have a measure (SUM of Sales) using this agg table

The number is correct as long as the user is not selecting "Today". because its always showing ytd's data when selecing "Today"

Which means the agg table only works when report using auto refresh?
