Hi, I'm trying to write a proof of concept Power BI file to demonstrate row level security. But we have somewhat sophisticated requirements.
First off, users can belong to one of 4 possible roles:
"Head honcho" - can see all data always
"Department manager" - can see data for a list of departments they manage
"Manager" - can see data for a list of providers (doctors / nurses)
"Provider" - can see data only for themselves
Also, the roles a user are in and the additional "lists" then need (lists of providers, lists of deparments) need to be stored in a database table, and NOT administered through the Power BI Service front end. We've got over 15000 providers in our health system, I can't be going in to the reports each time and manually setting up users in a role for security purposes. This all has to be driven off of a database table.
Does anyone know of good articles or training docs on how to do this?
Thanks,
Scott
