Additional column 1 when append query

Hi all,

I want to append 3 queries as one.

The results show additional column . For example column in original query is "Register Date" -> my append query will have both "Register Date" and "Register Date1" Columns . Anyone have this problem ?

Does the columns need to be the same type to append ?

Thanks

Thanks,

Can you reproduce this issue in a sample and share that pbix? It must I made some test with append but do not met this issue, usually the data type of the original columns do not have to be the same, the new column would change to "Any" type after append.

Hi @ktt777

I've run a test and different data types seem ok, pleases see the attached.

Have you checked if all the columns in all the tables have the same name?

yes i has the same name.

but even if it has different name, should it keep all the column with original name ? why does it add "1" to the column name ?

Hi @ktt777

It's difficult to tell without seeing the data but investigating the difference between the table that adds the extra column and the rest is probably the key here.

@ktt777 , Not very clear were you want to do it

Or you can create a common date dimension and join both dates to that.

To get the best of the time intelligence function. Make sure you have a date calendar and it has been marked as the date in model view. Also, join it with the date column of your fact/s. Refer :
