Adding additional data sources

I am using data from an azure database to create reports. However, when I connect to the database as my data source, I no longer have the option to add data from other sources. I have successfully loaded multiple tables from excel and csv files into a single report but there appears to be a restriction when using the database. Any ideas what may be causing this?

Hi @AaronS_PB

I'm pretty sure that means you are locked to a single data source.  If you'd like to build a data model using multiple sources, you'll need to switch to import mode (which is pretty good), or get your other data into your SQL DB.

Hi @AaronS_PB

Are you using Direct Query to connect to your SQL DB?

Thanks @Phil_Seamark. That makes sense. Unfortunately I need the report to be dynamic as weekly data is loaded into the cube. I'll just have to wait until the additional data is loaded into the DB.
