Adding Values from Columns in different tables

Hi

I am very new to Power BI but I need to calculate the total value from columns on different tables which do have a relationship.

The first table shows the quantity and item code and the second table shows the weight.

However I need the totals for each type of material, I have ried SUMX to try and go through each row and arrive at the right total but can't seem to make it work.

Below is the table with the Quantity, Pack Size & Material the other table just holds the packs size & weight.

Many Thanks

Hi @Qualube,

Merge the 2 tables by Pack Size. Now both the Quantity and Weight will be present in the same table.

Now you can multiple the columns Quantity and Weight just like a simple Multiplication

Hope this helps!!
