Add reference layer missing in Azure maps visual

Hello ,

I am trying to add a geojson file as a reference layer to the Azure Maps Visual. The link below states that this can be done by clicking on the "format " pane and clicking on "reference layer".

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-maps/power-bi-visual-add-reference-layer

For some reason the "refernce layer " is missing on the format pane in the latest release of the visual. Please see the screen below.

What is missing here ?

Ihab

HI @ielattar,

I test on the latest version of power bi and find the reference layer option still available on azure map.

Have you added some date fields to azure map visual for analysis data? AFAIK, some of format options did not display on the blank visual if you do not add any data fields.

Hi Xiaoxin,

Thanks for testing this. You are correct. The option to add reference data does appear once you add some fields to the visual.
