@Anonymous , You can replace total with variance using isinscope
New measure =
if(Not(isinscope (Table[period])) && Not(isinscope (Table[Status])) , Calculate(SUm(Table[Amount]), filter(Table, Table[Status] ="Actual")) -Calculate(SUm(Table[Amount]), filter(Table, Table[Status] ="Budget")) , Sum(Table[Amount]))
