Solved: Add-In Capabilities

Some of the add-ins on the marketplace have the capabilities to:

Can read and make changes to your document
Can send data over the Internet

Does anyone have any idea what this means? I'm concerned by using these there are potential security risks. Any thoughts?

Every add-in needs these permissions, because this is how they interact with your report:

Can read and make changes to your document: this is how the tooltip actually functions, by reading the data in your report to give you the result that you want
Cand send data over the internet: this is presumably for operation in the Power BI Service

If you check the majority of available add-ins, you'll see similar requirements. Additionally, all cusotm visuals on the marketplace are vetted by Microsoft.
