Action Driven Buttons

Hello All,

I have used buttons and the bookmark functionality in a bunch of reports that I have created, but I was wondering if there is a way to invoke a custom function via buttons in PBI or any other way (maybe using R). What I want to achieve is to start a download of file/dataset whenever a user clicks on a certain button, the data selection will be pre-defined by me by month or category.

After my research, I'm afraid it couldn't achieve in Power BI for now.

For your requirement, you could post your new idea in Power BI ideas and make this feature coming sooner.
