I am trying to connect to a data lake storage gen 2 account.
1. Firstly I selected Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2
2. I then entered the URL for the storage account.
3. Strangely, when I click on 'Binary' I get the following error:
'Access to the resource is forbidden'
4. So I tried selcecting the CDM view
but I get the same error:
I read online that I need to set permissions in the container/storage account to 'storage blob data reader'. I tried this and I also tried storage blob data contributer but it still did not work.

Hi @HamidBee ,
Please go to File->Options and Settings->Data Source Settings, find the existing Azure data lake data source, clear the permissions and re-connect to the data source, then check if you get any errors.

Thanks this solved the problem. I went into 'Data source settings -> Edit Permissions -> Edit -> Account key. I then entered the account key for the Data Lake and clicked save. It's possible that I either entered the wrong account key when initially creating the data source or I did not enter the Account key at all.
