.4 Time data format

Hello everyone,

I wondered if it is possible to have date or datetime records that look like this "17:10:12.3123" for example. I can't find a way to format it like this, perhaps I am not looking good or is there a workaround ?

Hi @Greg_Deckler,

It was a very interesting/usefull article and I deffinitely learned a few things, but the problem I am facing at the moment is that when I create a connection with our server with a column with values like:

"2017-05-13 11:10:10.1234" 

When I do that Power BI does'nt even let me import that value as it is, it always automatically changes it to a value like:

"2017-05-13 11:10:10"

We use these values to calculate the difference in Power BI but it is important that the .4 digits are'nt left out. We figured on a workaround with a new column in our server, but I find it strange that it is not possible to even import data like my example above. Since the .4 digit data is already lost on import we have quite some trouble with it.

It would be very helpfull if you know if it is impossible or not to import data like this 🙂

Perhaps try specifying that column as Text when you import it.

I will try that and otherwise we'll use a workaround by adding another column with milliseconds in the server. Thanks for the help, also I found this under the ideas:
