Gen2 dataflow read only mode issue

Hi Team,

I have admin access to the workspace. When I opened the Gen2 flow created by Rahul R., I was unable to edit it, because it is showing in read-only mode. Could you please help to fix this issue.

Hey!

You can take ownership of the Dataflow Gen2 following the article below:

Take ownership of Fabric items - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn

Hope this helps!

hey! 🙂

you can find the documentation here to take over the dataflow:
Take ownership of Fabric items - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn

We are working on a model that allows multiple users to work/contribute to the same dataflow without the need for taking over the dataflow

Hello!
Welcome to Fabric Community, and thanks for reaching out.

This looks like a Dataflow Gen2 ownership issue rather than a workspace role issue.

Even though you are Admin in the workspace, Dataflow Gen2 can still open in read-only mode if the dataflow is owned by another user. In your screenshot, the owner is Rahul R., while your account has workspace Admin access. So the workspace permission is there, but the item ownership is still with another user.
