In my fabric workspace i have several lakehouses.
But after connecting to one of them in vs code i now can't access the lakehouse no more in the fabric cloud workspace, when i run a notebook connecting to the lake house it says:
the other lakehouse seem fine.
I als can't open any tabels in the lakehouse...
Permissions etc are set correctly.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hi Jing,
I already tried this approach but the problem remains.
I can open the lakehouse but i'm not able to view the structured data (tables), also the notebooks that run on that data results in errors. They all throw the 'access forbidden 403' error.
Very strange...
Thx for your reply!
Hi @tida
How about the files in the same lakehouse? Can you preview the files in Explorer or read their data through the notebook?
For the lakehouse, can you check again its permissions and ensure that your account is listed under Direct access tab with the appropriate permissions?
Best Regards,
Jing
Hi @tida
Usually connecting to a lakehouse from VS Code won't affect accessing the lakehouse in the Fabic Cloud service. You can try logging out of your account from the Fabric service, then clearing your web browser cache and logging back in. Then in the workspace where the lakehouse is located, click it to open it. Can you open the explorer and view its items?
Best Regards,
Jing
Hi Jing,
I only can see the files, not the tables.
I tried and verified several options like restrictions, permissions etc, but nothing fixed the problem.
So i resulted in creating a new lakehouse.
Hi @tida
I'd like to confirm that did you enable lakehouse schema feature for the lakehouse that you couldn't access? If so, this is probably caused due to a known issue. Please refer to this thread: An error occurred while calling o321.sql. - Microsoft Fabric Community
For the notebook, you can try adding the following code to the top of notebook as the first cell.
%%pyspark
!echo "spark.trident.pbiApiVersion=v1">>/home/trusted-service-user/.trident-context
For the table preview in Explorer, there is no workaround yet. We are awaiting the fix. There is no definite ETA currently. We appreciate your patience.

Jing

Hi @tida
If you can't see those tables, they may have been deleted, so you cannot access them either from the Explorer or notebooks. I'm glad that creating a new lakehouse can help you continue your work. Please continue using Fabric and our Fabric community! Let us know if you have any further questions.
Best Regards,
Jing
Hi Jing,
I had indeed enabled the lakehouse schema feature for the lakehouse.
Thx for your advice
