Sample Data Warehouse

I've tried creating a sample data warehouse on multiple different days, and different times, and have always received the same error message of "Another user operation is already running. Wait for a few minutes, then refresh and try again." I've tried logging out and logging back in, making sure there are no other processes running, and restarting browser.

Here is the full error message I receive in a pop-up window copy-pasted:

{ "message": "", "data": { "code": "LockConflict", "subCode": 0, "message": "Another user operation is already running. Wait for a few minutes, then refresh and try again.", "timeStamp": "2025-05-07T17:49:41.9896227Z", "httpStatusCode": 400, "hresult": -2147467259, "details": [ { "code": "RootActivityId", "message": "df1ee7b3-cae7-4726-ab2d-25c9414fab45" }, { "code": "LockingBatchId", "message": "36f1885a-cbb4-4770-bfc2-0fe7af14591b@75c55a72-80d2-4528-bc43-7bac9a9e4e58$2025-05-07T17:49:41.5677084Z@60cb6b02-3d99-4397-83f6-42816c275130" }, { "code": "Param1", "message": "36f1885a-cbb4-4770-bfc2-0fe7af14591b@75c55a72-80d2-4528-bc43-7bac9a9e4e58" } ], "exceptionCategory": 1 }, "status": 400, "failureResponse": { "status": 400, "headers": { "content-length": "619", "content-type": "application/json; charset=utf-8" } } }

1 ACCEPTED SOLUTION

I came back after a few days, tried to make one again, changed absolutely nothing, and it worked. This is the second time I've taken a few days in between to re-try. So do with that information what you will. Thanks

Hi @ggramen

The error explicitly references `LockConflict` and a `LockingBatchId`, indicating a resource lock is preventing the operation

Use Fabric’s Monitor to identify in-progress operations

Create the sample warehouse in a different workspace

If these steps don’t resolve the issue, escalate to Microsoft Support with the error details and activity IDs.
