Hi,
I've been getting the error message Failed to commit the metadata change, please try again later. for the last 2 days. It occurs when I run a stored procedure I've created. The SP was running fine up to a couple of days ago.
I tried to clear the error by dropping the stored procedure and recreating it. I got the same error message when I tried to drop it. However, when I refreshed the web page I found the stored procedure had been dropped. I recreated the stored procedure and ran it again. However, the same error message popped up.
I cannot find anything on the web about it. Anyone know what it means and how I stop it.
Thanks,
Fergus

I've not seen that particular error message before. Have you raised a support request with Microsoft?

Andy,
I found one answer to it all the way back in 2021 and nothing since.
However, I wake up this morning and go back in and the error is gone. Let's hope it stays that way.
Thanks,
Fergus
