As part of my Power BI 12 Days of Dashboards series, day #12 brings this big project to a close with a Christmas Dashboard socked full of a few new tricks I learned throughout the creation of the blog series.
In the customer environments that I support, I don’t get a chance to use marquees, background images, and animated snowfall backgrounds, so this final wrap-up dashboard seemed like a perfect time to add them all in! 🙂
Check out the "12 Days of Dashboards" blog series for additional dashboards leveraging fun data sources (Fitbit, Twitter, Goodreads, Amazon.com Order History, Meetup, NFL Football, and several more).
Thanks,
Sam Lester (MSFT)

May I ask for tip/s on how to create a customized bavkground? Thanks!
@zeehanrodriguez Hi, to set a background image, open your dashboard and click on any white space in the report (i.e. don't select a visual). Then click on the Format tab on the right. Here you'll see the Page Background option where you can select an image/color, etc.
Thanks,

Thank you! how about that moving " Happy Holidays"? is that a custom visual? Thanks!
By the way, this question is already covered. 🙂 Found it! Thanks!
I updated the original blog entry with notes on creating the scorlling marquee text since I received a few questions on it.
Thanks,
