Writing data from Fabric to SharePoint Online

Hello everyone,

With DataPipeline, do you have a procedure for uploading a file (csv or excel) to SharePoint Online with data present in Fabric (Warehouse or LakeHouse)?

Thank you in advance for your help,

Have a nice day,

Vivien

Based on my understanding, unfortunately data pipelines doesnt support Sharepoint online as a sink.

So it is not directly possible but you would have to integrate it with either other tools like logic apps or leverage notebook for the same

It is now available in dataflowgen2. You can use sharepoint as data destination.

Use Dataflow Gen 2, it can use your Lakehouse as a source and SharePoint folder as a destination.

There is no SharePoint Folder yet in the destination of a DataFlow Gen2

I am also waiting for this feature, someone know about it ?

The other option is to use a Dataverse table as a "bridge" and send your CSV data to Dataverse, then connect Power Automate to Dataverse to then convert it back to a CSV and upload to SharePoint.

Not the most ideal solution but it does work and I would argue it's more reliable than dataflow gen2 as it's not as performant in comparison.

In that case, I think it's better to wait for this, which should be available soon.

This is still in private preveiw, so there is still yime to go via this route
