When copying a fully functional Pipeline via this menu in the workspace and selecting "Save as"
Then running the copy of the Pipeline always results in an Error: "InternalServerError executing request":
This error has been around I believe since day one of Fabric (at least for me). Can anybody confirm this behaviour as I find it remarkable that its still around even after GA....
Solved! Go to Solution.
Support found out that there is a bug when copying a Pipeline that includes a Teams activity. Once I removed the Teams activities from the Pipelines all could be copied successfully.
Hi @chris__1 ,
Thanks for using Fabric community.
Apologies for the issue you have been facing.
In order to repro your scenario,
I created a simple pipeline (pipeline1) with copy activity - (transfer data from lakehouse table1 to lakehouse table2) and executed the pipeline1 successfully.
Later I created a copy of pipeline1 using Save as - (pipeline1_copy1). I cannot find any challenge in executing pipeline1_copy1.
If its a bug in your case, we will definitely would like to know and properly address it.

@Anonymous what I failed to mention in my initial post is that the copy activity in this case always is an External REST source. Without such an external REST source copied Pipeline are working without a problem.
Could you please adjust your test to see if you can replicate!
Hi @chris__1 ,
Source as External Rest API -
Destination -
Also I cannot find any issue while working with Save as in this scenario.
@Anonymous ok, thanks. can I contact support if I still use Fabric Trial?
Yes @chris__1 you should be able to create a support ticket.
