We have noticed that there is a significantly reduced set of connectors in Fabric DF pipelines vs ADF/Synapse Pipelines:
According to my count in Fabric there are 31 connectors that support the Copy Activity vs. 90 in ADF/Synapse Pipelines. This is fairly substantial.
For example, we use SAP HANA on one of the projects and it's not supported by Fabric. It appears we would need to have to either use the Dataflow Gen2 engine to connect to SAP HANA, or have pipelines with Copy Activity outside Fabric.
Can someone from Microsoft please comment on this difference in availability of connectors? Is the plan to close the gap? If so, on approximatately what time frames?
Thank you!
It is in roadmap to close the gap. While your inputs will be greatly helpful for prioritization. Could you submit new Idea for your top gap connectors?
