Hi Team,
We have a requirement that when a blob/file creation happens in a particular folder inside a storage account's container, it should trigger a pipeline which is present in Fabric.
I am able to create the trigger in Fabric(please find the screenshot below), but when i tried to create a blob in the container, trigger is not being invoked. Could you please let me know why? It would be of great help if you try to point it from my scenario perspective instead of replicating from your end.
Refered to Microsoft Documentation , few more blogs and videos as well, but couldn't resolve the issue.
Also mentioning here the permission list i currently have.
1. Storage Blob Data Contributor
2. Storage Blob Data Reader
3. Reader
4. EventGrid Event subscription Reader

Hi @NandanHegde , Would you please look into this issue and provide your inputs .
Thanks for using Microsoft Fabric Community.
Here are few reasons why your Fabric pipeline is not triggering even though you have created a trigger for the specific folder in your storage account container.
You are missing the "EventGrid Event subscription Contributor" permission. This permission is required to create and manage Event Grid subscriptions, which are necessary to forward events from the storage account to Fabric. Without this permission, you might not be able to create the Event Grid subscription that forwards blob creation events to Fabric, which could explain why the trigger is not being invoked.
I recommend adding the "EventGrid Event subscription Contributor" permission to your role. This should allow you to create the necessary Event Grid subscription and forward events to Fabric. Additionally, you might want to consider adding the "Storage Account Contributor" permission to ensure that you have the necessary permissions to manage the storage account and container.
Here's an updated permission list that might help you in resolving the issuse:
Please try adding the missing permission and see if it resolves the issue. If you're still having trouble, feel free to provide more details, and I'll do my best to help you troubleshoot!
I hope this information helps.
Thank you.
Hi @v-cboorla-msft ,
We got the access for "EventGrid Event subscription Contributor" on Storage Account, but we have restrictions on Storage Account, so we cannot acquire or ask access for "Storage Account Contributor".
Once we got the EventGrid Event subscription Contributor access, created the trigger and verified whether the trigger is being invoked. Unfourtunately, trigger is not being invoked yet.
Could you please let me know what else can be done to resolve this? This part is something major in implementation Process. Any insights would be helpful.
Thank you.

Hi @v-cboorla-msft ,
We got Storage Account Contributor access too now. Tried to invoke the trigger by creating an event of "Blob Creation", still it is not being invoked. Seems the trigger feature is in preview in Fabric as of today. Could we except any solution for this trigger invoking Problem?
Any insights would be of great help. Thank you.
